When the pandemic was under control, in April 2021, BAT’s board of management, together with its partners, took a trip to Gia Lai again. During the trip, they visited tobacco leaf farms, learned more about Loose Leaf Barn – the automatic curing system and the drone technology, which helps increase the effectiveness of pesticide use, reduce labor costs and protect the health of farmers.
The method of spraying pesticides by drones is applied by BAT in the leaf growing area of Gia Lai province.
On this occasion, BAT handed over two charity houses to two families of an ethnic group. They also planted 800 trees, covering 1,200 meters of road at Ia Broai commune, Ia Pa district, Gia Lai province.
By conducting these activities, BAT have supported people in Gia Lai province in overcoming difficulties as well as contribute to change the scenery of Ia Broai commune, which can bring benefit to over 6,000 people living here.
